How to Choose Tattoo Numbing Cream

No matter how many times you have had your skin inked, the next time you step in a tattoo clinic, you will swear the piercing needles still create that painful sensation. Fortunately for the educated and more experienced, the pain element has already been taken care of. They totally understand that with the application of the best numbing cream for tattoos, they can say goodbye to pain and say hello to pleasure even with a needle piercing through their skin for that desired tattoo design.

Why do you need to use a tattoo numbing cream?

Tattoo numbing creams are used to reduce, even eliminate possible needle pain while getting tattooed. They work like local anesthesia and should be applied before getting a tattoo. If you are highly sensitive to pain or just want to experience the pleasure of seeing the inked skin minus the sense of the piercing needle on your skin, a tattoo numbing cream will be an effective ally. Take note, however, that improper use of such a cream may lead to some serious skin or health issues. So if you intend to use a tattoo numbing cream you have to make sure that you know what specific cream and how to use it.

Tattoo numbing cream contains one of these two active ingredients: Lidocaine and Benzocaine. Both active ingredients in a numbing cream help desensitize the area where it is applied. professional tattooist would normally apply this local anesthetic before proceeding with the procedure. The difference between the two is in the area of application. Lidocaine is applied on the outer skin, while Benzocaine is applied to mucous membranes, such as the gum, inside the cheek, and the anus.

If you are a tattooist, you may want to know which are considered the best options when it comes to tattoo numbing creams. It will help if you can get reviews from other tattooists and users of the available products, as these can assist you in deciding which product to purchase. Though these products are generally affordable, the fact that it’s not free means you’ll need to spend some time to research to find the best product that is sold at the best price by one of the best sellers available.

Depending on the strength of the cream, you may experience the effects of the product for about 60 minutes to a few hours.

Is there any side effect of using a tattoo numbing cream?

Even though many affirms the effectivity of these tattoo numbing creams, there are also a few who report experiencing some side effects after using numbing creams, such as skin irritation, inflammation, redness, itchiness, and even some tingling and burning sensation. There were instances when the common effects are experienced right after the application of the cream. There are instances, however, where the effects manifest only after a day or two. This means that if you have fairly sensitive skin, it is better to consult your doctor and ask for his recommendation or approval if you’re thinking of using an over-the-counter numbing cream.

How do you find the best tattoo numbing cream?

The easiest way to find the best cream will be to ask your doctor for a recommendation. You may also connect with other tattoo artists and customers online for their personal reviews on similar products that they have already tried. Online shops, such as Amazon also displays customers’ unsolicited reviews. You will definitely learn much about the experience of real people who have considered using a particular numbing cream that you may want to buy.

Manufacturers of these creams will definitely have websites or social network pages. It is best that you check them for available additional information as well as reviews. The additional details will make the process of selecting a lot easier. It will also be easier to compare prices if you check several sources first before proceeding with the purchase.

Though there are several brands that may offer a tattoo numbing cream, there is no guarantee that all of them will work the way they worked for others. If you are considering buying over the counter, ask if they allow a patch test to see if there will be any immediate reaction on your skin before actually buying the product.

Fighting Acne Tip: Be Gentle With Your Face!

Here’s the tip: be nice to your face and it will return the favor. This seems so simple but, for me, it proved to be a huge factor in both fighting acne and cutting down on redness. Make sure you gently wash your face with a mild cleanser and don’t scrub. Scrubbing can actually trigger the development of new acne!

Similarly, when drying your face pat it with a towel instead of rubbing dry. Just get as much moisture off as possible and let the rest air dry. This alone may be one of the best ways to help solve your acne problems. At the very least it will keep your acne from becoming inflamed or start bleeding.

3 Step Home Remedy for Acne

Note: These three steps are just one small part of my complete home remedy for acne. Click here to see my total system for fighting acne.

Step One – Cleanse

Splash LOTS of warm water on your face. This helps fighting acne by opening your pores to allow your facial cleanser to deeply penetrate into your skin. Now wash with a facial cleanser using a gentle circular motion. Rinse the soap of will cold water to close your pores back up.

Note: NEVER use a soap meant for your body on your face. These soaps can cause irritation, dry skin, and can clog the pores causing more acne. Make sure to use a soap specially formulated to your face.

Step Two – Tone

Toning is the one step in fighting acne that most people overlook. Toning is an absolutely crucial step in your acne treatment system. There’s a reason all those “prepackaged” acne systems contain a toner. (I have had little to no success with these systems, and do not recommend purchasing them. Click here to see the acne system I’ve had great success with)

A skin toner is extremely easy to use. Soak a cotton ball with the solution run it over your face, and your done. A skin toner clears your face of left over cleanser and residue from the water in your sink. If left on your skin these can clog your pores and result in more acne problems. The toning step also helps to close your pores, important before the last moisturizing step.

Tip: Before going out and buying an expensive toner with lots of chemicals, check out my post on the acne fighting properties of apple cider vinegar. Weird I know, but using apple cider vinegar as a toner has proved to be one of the best natural acne remedy I’ve experienced.

Step Three – Moisturize

Moisturizing is an important part of fighting acne because it keeps your glands from producing excess natural oils. If your skin is already hydrated and moist your glands won’t produce too much natural oils. When these oils are produced in excess, they clog the pores and become one of the major causes of acne problems.

When choosing a moisturizer make sure you get an oil-free, light moisturizer if you have oily skin and extra moisturizing lotion if you have dry skin.

Fighting Acne Doesn’t Have to Be So Painfully Ineffective!

Hey, James here,

If your looking for a solution to fighting acne that actually works, then I’m glad you’ve found this website, and I hope you’ll keep reading my story of struggling with this obnoxious problem.

Not interested in my personal experiences? You can just click here to see the program that has worked wonders for me.

Seeing as your at my website, I’m just going to assume that you are suffering from acne. I’m also going to guess that you already familiar with the fact that…

Acne Sucks!

I know how you feel! I remember the terrible and crushing feeling of knowing that my face is covered in zits. Scratching your face in class and having blood immediately start streaming down your cheeks really brings down the self-esteem.

I’ve been there, and for a long time too. Way too long.

I would give just about anything to go back and be able to show my pre-college self how to keep my face clear.

The Prescription Drugs Make Things Worse

I’ve dealt with acne for seven years and have been to 4 different dermatologists. I’ve been prescribed everything from tetracycline to accutane.

Accutane did help my acne for a while but its got some serious side effects that must be considered when using it for fighting acne.

Check out those symptoms on the right, looks like it could be worse than having acne, right? I consider myself lucky to have just had the “dry skin and itching part.”

I mean seriously, this is straight from the FDA website:

“All patients treated with accutane should be observed closely for symptoms of depression or suicidal thoughts, such as sad mood, irritability, acting on dangerous impulses, anger, loss of pleasure … mood disturbance, psychosis, or aggression.”

Why take a chance on that?

For seven years I had been fighting acne using prescription and over the counter products. Sometimes they did eliminate the acne already apparent on my face, but would leave huge, itchy and ugly rashes.

I finally reached the point where I no longer wanted to take antibiotics, prescriptions or harsh chemicals… I was over it!

They didn’t seem to do to much for me, had some pretty nasty side effects, and were hard to follow. I was tired of my face always feeling dried out and flaky.

Searching for Something Better

I finally cut off all of my prescription products that I had been using unsuccessfully for the years. I began the search for a more effective, gentle and natural solution for fighting acne. Acne No More is the system that I consider myself lucky to have found.

This is a complete program that addresses all of the underlying causes of acne, you won’t find a quick fix here. And let me tell you a quick fix does not exist! Believe me, I tried one of the “quick cures” thats out there, ‘acne free in 3 days.’

I’ll just go ahead and give you the acne free in 3 days “system”

  • Eat nothing but apples for 3 Days
  • Give yourself an enema every day (gross)
  • Drink 2 ounces of grape juice on the third day

I laughed when I read that part. Even if it did work, which it didn’t, are you just supposed to do that every couple weeks? Ridiculous.

Fighting Acne with Acne No More

Fortunately, you wont find anything like that in Acne No More.

You will learn to practically and systematically approach the condition from the inside. Instead of, as I had done for years, relying on all kinds of prescription chemicals to attempt to treat the external symptoms.

The book is quite extensive, weighing in at 223 pages! A large portion of this is a detailed account of all the underlying causes of acne.

You could just skip to the step-by-step method if you want to. Which, by the way, are divided into 5 sections, each complete with checklists so you don’t forget anything.

I hope you found this information useful and that it helps you enjoy more years of being acne free. It’s a great feeling!
